Tips for Your DIY Summer Camp:

  • Keep it Flexible: Don't feel tied to a strict schedule. Adjust based on your child's energy levels and interests.
  • Embrace the Mess: Some of the best activities can get a little messy. Prepare accordingly and embrace the fun!
  • Involve Your Child in Planning: Ask for their input on themes and activities to get them excited.
  • Take Breaks: Don't overschedule. Allow for downtime and quiet play.
  • Celebrate the "Camp" Experience: Maybe have a special "camp snack" each day or create a simple "graduation" certificate at the end of the week.

This is just one theme idea – the possibilities are endless! You could have a "Space Explorers Week," a "Superhero Training Academy," or an "Animal Adventures Week." The key is to use what you have on hand and let your imaginations (and your child's!) be your guide.
